In the beginning…

This is what it’s looked like more or less for much of this month. The snow is on its way out.

This is what it’s looked like more or less for much of this month. The snow is on its way out.

The local portion of what we're currently eating on the farm. Produce is grown here, except as noted. Prepared foods contain mainly local ingredients, not necessarily organic.
In the field: arugula
Cold storage: apples (purchased, not organic), beets, carrots, garlic, onions, potatoes, pumpkins, winter squash
Freezer: beef, chicken, spinach, tomato sauce, turkey
Meats are purchased, small-farm, more-or-less organic.
Dried: hot peppers
Bottled: jams & jellies, honey, hot pepper sauce, maple syrup, mustard, pickled beets, pickles, relish
All purchased or gifts, small kitchen.
