Continuing snowy white and frigid outside, and if it weren’t for the handy neighborhood supermarket, the last thing you’d be thinking about around here right now is fresh orange juice. The reality is, there’s plenty of it, legally speaking, at least: aseptic storage and flavor packs aside, fresh not frozen, not from concentrate, pulpy or pulp free OJ is in abundance, now as ever, and often on special, too!
I always find that Orange Juice (especially the fresh-squeezed kind!) is perfect for this time of year. It’s pretty snowy and cold here in Chicago, so the extra vitamins always put me in a better mood!
We buy fresh, not frozen and not from concentrate OJ all the time and love it! It’s always avialable here in Canada too and we don’t even grow oranges up here. Have you ever made sweet orange jam with it? I’m considering it.
During the winter, I love fresh OJ. I like drinks that warm you up, too, but to me oranges fit right in with all the spices and comforting foods and smells I have always associated with this time of year. Glad you can get something nutritious to drink, even if you can’t grow your own! I love your blog, thanks!
I love orange juice throughout the year….lol….I don’t think so someone can dislike it…xoxoxo…..:D
