Catalogs!

image

This year’s seed catalogs! Haven’t kept on the mailing lists for the dozen or more I used to get. I do always look around online, but for the hard copy, and the main seed ordering, it’s reduced to two, one main seed supplier and a backup. The more you know, the less you need? I like the sound of that! :)

  1. This is great. I’ve always wanted to start to grow my own organic stuff. I wonder how I could order these catalogs? Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is a very well written blog with many ideas and tutorials. Creating a blog for those who have a “micro-farm” is a great idea because nowadays many people like to grow their own plants especially vegetable plants to have above all a kind of self-satisfaction as it feels good to be able to eat something that we have grown and picked in our own garden. However many of us lack some skills when it comes to gardening so thank you for your useful advices.

  3. A few months ago I moved to a new house with my family and we have a huge backyard where I want to make a garden and to grow my own vegetables. I want to know how can I take this catalog too. Regards!

  4. Wow, I went to William Dam Seeds, got all excited over their seed catalog…especially Hot Biscuits Amaranthus, and then find out they won’t ship to the USA.

I found Hot Biscuits in the US, but the seeds are hard to find and very expensive for the small lot you get. No bulk available.

However, their catalog isn’t a total waste, now I’ve got some wonderful plant varieties that I can search for state-side. They provide some great gardening information.
