I adore this photo- the green popping out against the soil- it’s almost like you can smell the dirt and spring, all together, at once.
I just checked mine and they are germinating as well. YEAH! Can’t wait to eat those delicious red onions next fall. MMMMM.
I must peeked too, here they come!
I have found that potato onions are very satisfactory. They are planted in the fall and also come up in the spring. They are a multiplier onion and are similar to shallots but much easier to grow. And when they are harvested there will be some smaller onions that are too small to use in the kitchen but they can be planted the following fall. It is almost like having a perpetual onion. They can be found at http://www.mainepotatolady.com or
.
Pretty little seeldings you’ve got there. It must be the season, I just posted pics of my broccoli and lettuce seedlings. Nothing like the first new life of spring! Kim
Aaaahhhhhhh! I’m allergic to onions – my enemy looks like it is going well on your farm – darn it! Thank goodness there is a big sea between us.
This is a fantastic article, I discovered your blog checking yahoo for a similar content and arrived to this. I couldnt find to much additional information on this piece, so it was great to find this one. I will probably end up being returning to check out some other posts that you have another time.
What’s happening is because bedbugs have showed up in different kinds of locations. Before you go out of town, make sure you are ready for the bedbug problem so it will not become your depressing experience so find a local bed bug exterminator to exterminate bed bugs.
